वहीं इसके बाद शाहजहां के निर्दयी पुत्र औरंगजेब ने आगरा किले की बाहरी प्रचारी का निर्माण करवाया था। आपको बता दें कि औरंगजेब, जब मुगल साम्राज्य का उत्तराधिकारी बना था, तब उसने अपने ही पिता शाहजहां को उनके जीवन के आखिरी दिनों में इस किले में कैद कर लिया था।
